Bonnie Marie Cunningham

Mrs. Bonnie Marie Cunningham, age 88, of McKinney, Texas passed away September 19, 2009. She was born on May 21, 1921, to Lydle and Ethel (Hannah) Price, the youngest of 6 children growing up in Melissa, Texas. She was a graduate of McKinney High School. On August 30, 1942, she married Chester Clifton Cunningham in McKinney and he preceded her in death on March 28, 2000. Bonnie worked as a floral designer for the Ben Franklin and Woolworth stores in McKinney. She later opened Bonnie’s Flower Boutique in McKinney. Bonnie lived her whole life in the McKinney area except for the time she followed her husband as he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. She was a member of the North Baptist Church. Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Joan Rose and husband, Larry of Lancaster, Texas; granddaughter, Miranda Rose presently a student in Waco, Texas; several nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her late husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Denver Price; and 4 sisters, Evelyn Sebastian, Feril Noles, Lema Gideon and Flonnie Pope. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Dr. Danny Buster officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
