Bobby Ray Martin, 81, died on Thursday, Nov. 3rd, at his residence in Celina, Texas. A memorial service will be held on Monday, Nov. 7th, at 7:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 6:00 at First United Methodist Church in Celina. Rev. Doug Miller, Rev. Glen Blackmon and Rev. John Baldwin will officiate. Mr. Martin was born in Celina on April 9, 1930, the son of R. G. and Rebecca Martin. He served in the United States Air Force and later became a farmer in Celina. He worked as a rural mail carrier when he retired. He is survived by his wife, Afton, of Celina, children, Mark and Carol Martin, of Celina, Paul and Dee Martin, of Raynesford, Montana, Brian and Candy Martin, of Gunter; grandchildren, Jarrod and Heather Martin of Celina, Lauren Bennett of Boston, Massachusetts, Jordan and Starla Martin of Aubrey, Jacob Martin of Stephenville, Jeremy Martin, Justin Martin and Jaron Martin, all of Gunter, and a nephew Scott Martin of Mission, Texas. Great-grandchildren include Major, Maci, Marisa, and Maguire Martin of Celina, and Jett and Jagger Martin of Aubrey. Mr. Martin is preceded in death by his parents, R.G. and Rebecca Martin, brothers, Scott Martin, Herman Martin, Weldon Martin, Newell Martin, Dunaway Martin, and sisters, Kathryn Smith, and Augusta Taylor. In his own words, "I have lived a blessed life and I am so thankful for my wonderful family and friends." Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Celina.
