Bob Dubberly passed away June 17, 2015 in McKinney, Texas. He was born October 30, 1931 in Prosper, Texas, to Nathaniel L. Dubberly, Sr. and Lona Wilson Dubberly. After graduating high school and proudly serving in the United States Navy, Bob completed his education at the Arlington State College, now known as the University of Texas in Arlington. He was the accountant for Rosewood Company of Dallas for 26 years, where he retired in 1988. Bob ran marathons, was a season ticket holder for the Dallas Cowboys and loved to fish. In his later years, he exercised his wonderful mind with reading and crossword puzzles. He will be missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Martha Barton Dubberly, sister, Dorothy Hester and husband Dwain of Georgetown, Texas, brother-in-law, Andy Barton and wife Patricia of Van Alstyne, Texas and nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Boomer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dr. N.L. Dubberly, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Jim Jake Templin officiating. Bob will be buried at Van Alstyne Cemetery next to his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry Earnest and Johnnie (Bill) Barton. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Thursday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
