Bobby Jean Abernathy, age 78, of McKinney, Texas passed away on March 11, 2009. She was born on July 17, 1930 in Center, Texas to Gaines Robert and Nancy Elizabeth Mosby. On March 15, 1952 she married Dave Abernathy, Jr. in Center, Texas. She was a member of the North Baptist Church of McKinney. She is survived by her husband, Dave Abernathy, Jr. of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Kim Ritchey and husband Rex of Prosper, Texas, Kelly Berry and husband Dwalyn of Spring, Texas and Kay Sanders and husband Kevin of Telephone, Texas; son, Dave K. Abernathy and wife Peggy of Gunter, Texas; grandchildren, Kyle Berry, Kris Berry, Randle Abernathy, Llana Abernathy Ogden, Sonny Abernathy, Kevin Sanders, Jr., Kirk Sanders, Kent Sanders and a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, William “Bill” Mosby. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2009 in the Chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, with Dr. Jeff Nyberg officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home one hour prior to the service to pay their respects and sign the register book.
