Bobbie Lenton Harris, age 78, of Farmersville, Texas passed away March 29, 2011. He was born March 3, 1933 in Collin County, Texas to Elsie L. Harris and Metha (Hall) Harris. On August 31, 1951 Bobbie married Nellie Lou Jackson in McKinney, Texas. Bobbie was affectionately known by his grandchildren and close family as “Goggie”. He was a special man who others loved to be around--quite a character, with a great sense of humor and infectious laugh. His love for those close to him was deeply felt. Some of his favorite past times included hunting and fishing with his family. He had a knack for fixing what was broken –whether it was a lawnmower or a broken heart. We know that God and his Angels are glad to have him in Heaven, but he will sure be missed here on Earth. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Harris of Farmersville, Texas; children, Bobbie Don Harris and wife, Larina of Farmersville, Texas, Cynthia Compton of Farmersville, Texas, Deborah L. McCreary and husband, Tim of Rowlett, Texas, Danny Harris and wife, Kristi of Sachse, Texas; grandchildren, Chase Crouch and wife, Jenny of Sachse, Cody Compton of Rockwall, Texas, Joshua Harris of Dallas, Texas. Tiffany Reese and husband, Jeremy of Missouri, Jessica Green and husband, Shane of Forney, Texas and Austin Harris of Sachse, Texas; great-grandchildren, Kyle Crouch, Bobbie Crouch, Bentleigh Reese and Brooklyn Reese; brother, William Charles Harris and wife, Joyce of McKinney, Texas; sister, Gloria Hack of Farmersville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Metha Harris, brother, Billy Harris, Sisters; Elsie Lee Burnside and Gracetta Wyatt. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 2, 2011, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Dr. Danny Buster officiating.
