Bobbie Sue Ferguson

Bobbie Sue Crawford Ferguson age 85, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, formerly of McKinney, Texas passed away April, 28, 2015.  She was born to Robert H Crawford and Susan (Achilles) Crawford on April 3, 1930 in Paris, Texas.  Bobbie spent her formative years in Ewa, Hawaii which included being an eyewitness to the attack on Pearl Harbor. She was a graduate of Chicota High School and received her BA in Interior Design from Texas Woman’s University in 1952.  On July 19, 1953, Bobbie married John Ferguson in Denton, Texas at The Little Chapel in the Woods on the campus of Texas Woman’s University.  She received her teacher’s certification from TWU in 1973, and taught at the Headstart program in McKinney until the program ended in 1976.  Bobbie’s favorite hobbies were reading mystery novels, listening to classical music, and making quilts.

She is survived by her children, David Ferguson and wife Kelley of Paris, Texas, Allan Ferguson and wife Beth of Denison, Texas, Susan Lennon and husband Rodney of Miller Grove, Texas; grandchildren, Adrianne Ferguson, Sarah Ferguson Horn, Tyler Little and Trent Little, Travis Lennon and Jordan Lennon.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, John Ferguson; father, Robert H. Crawford; mother, Susan Achilles Evans; and sister, Frances Arnesen.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
