Bobbie Jean (Cate) Campbell of Sherman, Texas passed away on November 25, 2015 at the age of 83. She was born on October 26, 1932 to Arby and Emmitt (McCall) Cate in Snowhill, Texas, just outside of Farmersville. Bobbie married Charles W. Campbell on May 21, 1955 in Plano, Texas. Bobbie was a member of First Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas and she was a homemaker. She was an awesome cook (which her family much enjoyed!) Reading was Bobbie’s favorite pastime. More than anything she loved spending time with her family. She took every opportunity possible to love on and support her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Smith and husband Ellwood of Saratoga Springs, New York, son, Carey Campbell and wife Kristy of Celina, Texas; grandchildren, Zachary Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Skyeler Quintana and husband Carlos Quintana of Phoenix, Arizona, Cody Campbell and wife Lauren of Richardson, Texas, Kara Campbell of Plano, Texas, and Kiley Campbell of Celina, Texas; five great-grandchildren: Tristan, Mikayla, Mayzee, Liam and Caden; brother, Tom Cate of Wolfe City, Texas; and sister, Chita Welch of Belton, Texas as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Campbell.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas with Pastor Kevin Lykins officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday afternoon, November 27, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service.
