Bob Horn, age 83, of Wills Point, Texas passed away on May 28, 2015. He was born to Raymond Cecil Horn and Lela Chloe (Robbins) Horn on January 2, 1932 in Dallas, Texas. Bob married Peggy Anita (Smith) Horn on April 3, 1964 in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Forest Avenue High school in Dallas, Texas in 1950 and also graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree from Sam Houston State University. Bob was a Sergeant with the traffic division of the Dallas Police Department for twenty-nine years. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a 32nd Degree Mason. Bob loved to fish, especially at Port Aransas.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Anita (Smith) Horn of Wills Point, Texas; sons, David Horn and wife Anna Marie Darling of Rose Hill, Texas, Robert Horn and wife Melissa of Edgewood, Texas; daughter, Kimberly Horn of Wills Point, Texas; grandchildren, Justin Horn of Keller, Texas, Michelle Kiker of Carrollton, Texas, Haley McDonald of Mesquite, Texas, Shayna Horn of Mesquite, Texas, Jacob Horn of Edgewood, Texas and Ryland Horn-Owen of Wills Point, Texas; great-grandchildren, Dellan Horn, Jayden McDonald, Audrina McDonald and Tatum Horn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Lela (Robbins) Horn; brothers, Bill Horn and Jim Horn.
A graveside funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2015.at Clear Lake Cemetery in Clearlake, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
