Robert A. Fritz (Bob, dad, brother, papa) passed away peacefully Friday, December 11, 2009, in Plano, Texas surrounded by his family. Bob attended the University of Illinois and graduated from Worsham College with a degree in Mortuary Science. He continued his career as a Funeral Director in Staunton, Illinois, Phoenix, AZ and San Diego, CA for over 30 years. Bob provided great comfort and incredible professional dignity and respect to others facing the most difficult time of their lives. He loved to golf, and is forever the biggest fan of the Chicago Bears. Born February 10, 1933 in Ripley Ohio, to Lillie Klinker and Lawrence F. Fritz, Bob was at his best as a loving husband to his soul mate Barbara, sharing love, joy, compassion, and devotion to one another. He was an amazing father of nine, grandfather to fifteen, a great grandfather to two, plus a baby girl to arrive any day. Proud to call him dad are; Cindy Worth, Robert Fritz, Kevin Fritz, Mark Pritchett, Geralyn Pauli, Kathy Bryant, Mary Perry, Maureen (Mo) Koogle, and Marty Pritchett. Proud to call him Papa: Lisa, Andrea, Serena, Jeffery, Christine, Jennifer, Samantha, Bubba, Cynthia, Alissa, Caden, Katlyn, Corbett, Casey, and James. His surviving brothers and sisters include Lorraine Schultz, Alberta Ratledge and Paul Fritz. He was preceded in death by his brother Lawrence (Bud), his sisters, Agnes, Rita, Jennie, and his beloved grandkids, Theodore and Matt. Also including; Papa Bear George Halas, Walter Payton, and the Chicago Bears 2009 season. Bob will be eternally remembered for his humor, smile, and that certain twinkle in his blue eyes. Funeral Services will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas on Monday, December 14, 2009, at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation to be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers please send a donation in his name to the American Cancer Society.
