Mrs. Blanche Evans Hobson, age 93, of McKinney, Texas passed away February 12, 2004, in McKinney. She was born March 17, 1910, in Nevada, Texas to Burrell B. and Grace (Moran) Evans. On June 4, 1932, she married Leon Griffin Hobson in Nevada. Mrs. Hobson was a graduate of Nevada High School. She attended Mary Hardin Baylor College in Belton and the North Texas Teachers College, graduating in 1935. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of McKinney. She is survived by her nephews, Bill Watkins, Jerry Evans and Fred Evans; and numerous other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Hobson; sisters, Thelma Ray, Katherine Thorn and Corie Watkins; and brother, Burl Evans. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 13, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Randy Morlan officiating. Interment will follow at Nevada Cemetery, Nevada, Texas.
