Billy Wayne Turrentine, age 76, of McKinney, Texas, passed away November 7, 2014. Billy Wayne was born March 9, 1938, in Commerce, Texas, to C. Audie and Josephine (Nelson) Turrentine. He married Annette Flesher on August 2, 1957, in McKinney. Billy Wayne was a funeral director and partner at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home where he started working at the age of twelve. For over 64 years Billy Wayne has served the families of the North Texas area with an unsurpassed compassion and kindness for all people. He was a member of First Christian Church in McKinney.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Flesher Turrentine, of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Terry Turrentine Irby and husband, Butch, of McKinney, Texas; sons, Bill Turrentine II and wife, Holli, and Scott Turrentine and wife, Brandy, both of McKinney; and six grandchildren, Clayton Turrentine Irby of New York, New York, Stuart Turrentine Irby, Sloan Turrentine, Sibley Turrentine, Jackson Turrentine, and Finley Turrentine, all of McKinney.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Audie and Josephine Turrentine.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Entombment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
