Billy Dea Thompson was born July 31, 1923 in Collin County, Texas to Dea Thompson and Hattie Walker Thompson. He died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas at the age of 91. He was a life long resident of Desert, Texas.

Bill served his nation in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelors degree and later worked for about 20 years as a dealer representative for Texaco Oil. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by sister, Dora Lee Kelley and husband Joe of McKinney; nephews, Keith Kelley and wife Cheryl of San Diego, California and Kirk Kelley and wife Jessica of Portland, Oregon; grand-nieces, Kristen and Kelsey Kelley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dea and Hattie Thompson; and brothers, Charles R. and Gerry L. Thompson.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Chris Cowen. Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Desert, Texas. Pallbearers will Tom Gray, Jim Shivers, Richard Mays, Jimmy Frazier, Bo Elder, Douglas Brummett and John Broadway.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 1:00PM until service time at 2:00PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright, Texas.
