Billy Edward Runnion of Stephenville, Texas passed away January 30, 2016, at the age of 75. He was born July 25, 1940, to Ollie Edward Runnion and Mary Abbie (Crockett) Runnion in McKinney, Texas. Billy grew up in McKinney and attended Central Ward Elementary, Scott Jr. High School and graduated from Boyd High School in 1958. Billy continued his education at The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas then transferred to The University of Texas at Arlington in Mechanical Engineering. In 1961, he was one of the first to work for Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington. After four years with Six Flags, he began his thirty-two year career with General Motors in Arlington. After his retirement in 2003, he moved to Stephenville. Billy was an avid traveler who was able to travel throughout the United States. He was honored and privileged to have shared time with his friends.
Billy is survived by many loving cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 5, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment is to follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas. Friends and family are invited to the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 pm. to 8:00 p.m. to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
