Mrs. Billie H. Vaughan, age 61, of Princeton, Texas passed away February 19, 2005, in McKinney. She was born April 30, 1943, in Texas to Alexander G. and Frances Mowat. She grew up in McKinney and attended Prosper High School. On November 24, 1958, she married James Leonard Vaughan in Durant, Oklahoma. They moved to Princeton in 1986. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Nazarene of McKinney. She is survived by her husband, James L. Vaughan of Princeton; son, James H. Vaughan also of Princeton; daughters, Terry Murdock of Gun Barrel City, Texas, and Bobbie Knowles of Waxahachie, Texas; mother, Frances Mowat of Pickton, Texas; grandchildren, Shane Dickerson of Childress, Texas, Bryan Dickerson of Gun Barrel City, Josh Dickerson of McKinney and Erika Knowles of Waxahachie; great grandchild, Sarah Dickerson of Childress; brothers, Grant Mowat and Bob Mowat both of Pickton; and sister, Jacque Raney of Rockwall, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Alexander G. Mowat II. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 22, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Scott Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Monday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
