Billy “Bill” Morse was born May 5, 1934 at Sherman, Texas to Thomas Potter Morse and Dora Mae Tabor Morse. He married Margie Louise Brownfield on July 9, 1955 in Sherman, Texas. He died Friday, March 23, 2012 at Texas Health Presbyterian WNJ in Sherman, Texas at the age of 77. He was a long-time resident of Whitewright, Texas.
Bill worked for 15 years with Conagra, for 25 years with the Texas Highway Department. He was employed by Caraway Exxon in Whitewright for over 50 years. Bill was a member of the Kentuckytown Baptist Church.
He is survived by son, Billy Don Morse of Whitewright; daughter, Paula Wright and husband Jim of Orangeville; daughter, Rhonda Morse of Savoy; son, Terry Wayne Morse of Whitewright; grandchildren, Tiffany Morse; Michelle Morse; Lacy Mlcak and husband Matt; Kristen Wright; Tyler Wright; Natalee Morse; and Chloe Morse; great-granddaughter, Olivia Wright; brother, Larry Wayne Morse and wife Edna of Whitesboro; brother, Homer Morse and wife Claudette of Lubbock; sister, Retha Mae Mayo and husband Kenneth of Paducah; sisters-in-law, Margie "Tootsie" Morse; Faye Morse; Martha Morse; and Joann Morse. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Margie; brothers, J.B. Morse; Lawrence Morse; Ted Morse; Tommie Morse; and John Ross Morse.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Rodney Stanford and Rev. Houston Garner. Burial will follow at Vittitoe Cemetery in Grayson County, Texas.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Tuesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 6-8pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright, Texas.
