Bicenta “Bessie” Rojas, age 54, of McKinney, Texas passed away October 19, 2008. She was born March 19, 1954 in Rosebud, Texas to Guadalupe and Anita Garcia. On June 21, 1974 she married Bacilio Rojas in McKinney, Texas. Bessie was a homemaker and a member of Victory Christian Church. She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Carpenter and husband, Eric of Palacios, Texas, Patricia Menchaca and husband, Jeremy of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Kevin Carpenter, Brooke Carpenter, Isabella Menchaca and Jeremy Menchaca, Jr.; siblings, Ernesto Garcia, Linda Tapia, Josephine Reyna, Annie Arrendando, Terry Verde and a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bacilio Rojas; parents, Guadalupe and Anita Garcia and brother, Larry Garcia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2008, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Troy M. Keathley officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
