Betty June Waters, age 77, of Walsenburg, Colorado, formerly of Princeton, Texas, passed away January 1, 2012, in Walsenburg. Betty June was born June 7, 1934, in Princeton, Texas, to Floyd James and Jettie Rozell (Mayfield) Meuir. She married Ronald Frank Waters on October 29, 1964, in Dallas, Texas. Betty June was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Waters of Walsenburg, Colorado; sons, Terry Jackson of Princeton, Texas and Leonard Jackson of LaJunta, Colorado; grandchildren, Randi Jackson Warren of Walsenburg, Colorado, Angela Marshall and husband, Chad of Carrollton, Texas, and Charlie Jackson of Princeton, Texas; great-grandchildren, Kyla Warren, Kaidance Warren, and Hannah Marshall; brother, Wayne Meuir and wife, Becky of Lavon, Texas; sisters, Alma Welborn, Dee Thomas and her husband, James, and Linda Teafatiller and her husband, Bruce all of Princeton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Lee Jackson in 1958, grandson, Nathanial Marshall in 2003, and grandson-in-law, Lance Warren in 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.
