Mrs. Betty Spurgin, age 69, of McKinney, Texas passed away July 9, 2006 in McKinney. She was born October 15, 1936, in Blue Ridge, Texas to R.B. and Alene Nevil. On July 26, 1954 she married Kenneth Spurgin in McKinney, TX. Mrs. Spurgin worked for thirty-one years as a bank teller for Central National Bank now First Bank in McKinney, and was a member of the Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Kenneth; sons Mike of Pottsboro, Monty of McKinney, Mark and wife Kima of McKinney, and Mickey and wife Sherry of McKinney; grandchildren Stephanie and husband Bradley Haile, Kasie Spurgin, Chase Spurgin, Tanner Spurgin; great-grandchildren Reece and Presley (LuLu); sister Pat Rembert of Dallas, TX; brother Rick Nevil of Allen, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives Her parents preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 12, 2006 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
