Betty L. Pullen, age 73, of Garland, Texas, passed away at her home August 23, 2009. Betty was born October 14, 1935 in Chelsea, Oklahoma to Albert J. and Bessie Nell (Kerby) Patterson. Betty was raised in Farmersville, Texas and graduated from Farmersville High School in 1953. She and Jackie L. Pullen began dating in high school then married May 29, 1954, in Garland, Texas. They made their home in Garland in 1960 and were members of First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Jack of Garland; daughters, Debra Roth and her husband, Jim of Carrollton and Tena Simone and her husband, Vinnie of Garland; four grandchildren, James Robert and Alyssa Roth both of Carrollton and Jacklyn and Haley Simone, both of Garland. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Billie Nell Gaston. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Bro. Jack Schmid officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M., Tuesday evening.
