Betty Jo Merriman, age 96, of Plano, Texas, passed away October 20, 2017. Mrs. Merriman was born July 28, 1921, in McKinney, Texas, to Willie and Cleo (Hendricks) Williams. She married George Russell (John) Merriman in Sherman, Texas.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny Paul Merriman and wife, Linda of Emory, Texas and Jimmy Merriman and wife, Reanel of Plano, Texas; grandson, John Kelly Merriman and wife, Julie of Meridian, Texas; and granddaughter, Erica Moss and husband, Scott of Irving, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at First Baptist Church, 1300 E. 15th St., Plano, Texas, 75074. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Plano or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
