Betty Lorraine Hopkins, age 74, of Anna, Texas passed away May 28, 2005, at her home. She was born September 13, 1930, in Harveysburg, Ohio to Grant and Amelia Beatrice (Penny) Carnes. She was a postal worker for Richardson’s main post office, retiring in 1996. She was of the Christian faith. She is survived by her sons, Bruce Hopkins and wife, Linda of Leonard, Texas, Roger Hopkins and wife, Cathy of Royston, Georgia and Doug “C.D.” Hopkins and wife, Terri of Weston, Texas; daughter, Melba Taylor and husband, Kenneth of Plano, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Feltz of Waynesville, Ohio and Dorothy Bagford of Clarksville, Ohio. Her son, Byron Kent Hopkins preceded her in death in 2000. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Larry Norrell officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends form 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
