Betty June Turner Field

Betty June Turner Field, age 92, a longtime resident of Plano, Texas, passed away January 18th in Longview, Texas. She was born November 1, 1921, in Chillicothe, Texas, to P.P. and Gussie Turner. Betty graduated from North Texas State Teachers College in 1943 and taught first and second grade for over twenty years at Mendenhall Elementary School in Plano, Texas. She was active in the Plano Retired Teachers Association and the GFWC/TFWC Thursday Study Club after her retirement in 1980.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, O.F. “Pete” Field and son James W. Field. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Priscilla Field of Plano, Texas; daughters, Linda Roberts and her husband, Fred of Trenton, Kentucky, Lucy Carroll and her husband Bob of Hallsville, Texas and Mary Huffman of Dallas, Texas. She was blessed to have been involved in the lives of her 8 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests one hour before the graveside service, which is being held on Saturday, January 25th at 12:30 p.m. at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas.
