Funeral services for Betty Lou Collins Mulkey, 74 year old Celeste resident, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday July 23rd at the First Baptist Church of Celeste. Rev. James Ralson and Rev. Jim Sherwin will officiate. Burial will be in the Celeste Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday July 22nd at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Mrs. Mulkey was born June 11, 1935 at Leonard, Texas. Her parents were William Lewis and Thelma Lee Blackburn Collins. She married Jimmy Don Mulkey February 22, 1951 at Celeste, Texas. She was a teacher’s aid, a member of the First Baptist Church of Celeste and a member of the Celeste Coffee Club. She passed away Monday July 20th at Plano Specialty Hospital. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: Steve & Sandi Mulkey of Longview, Texas; her daughter & son-in-law: Pam & Dale Waters of Greenville, Texas; her brother & sister-in-law: Larry & Mary Collins of McKinney, Texas; her sister-in-law: Delores Collins of Sherman, Texas; her grandchildren: Eric & Alicia Mulkey of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Chelsea & Jake Mulkey of Longview, Texas, Cody Waters of Austin, Texas and Chad & Ashley Waters of Greenville, Texas; her great-grandchildren: Hunter & Kaden Waters of Greenville, Texas and Erica Mulkey of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brothers: John Lewis Collins, Phillip Ray Collins & Bobby Scott Collins.
