Betty Lois Boudreaux (nee), 77, a native of Donner, LA and long time resident of Thibodaux, LA passed away on Friday, September 30, 2011, in Frisco, TX. She is a past resident of both Houston and Corpus Christi, TX. Visitation will be on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Thibodaux Funeral Home, 104 St. Patrick Highway, Thibodaux, LA. Visitation will resume on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 720 Talbot Ave, Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Christ the Redeemer with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. Mrs. Boudreaux was born on November 20, 1933 to Oliver Edwin and Lois Pye Boudreaux. She married Folse R. Boudreaux of Morgan City, LA, on September 23, 1951 in Gibson, LA. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, her parents, brother Oliver Edwin Boudreaux, Jr., and brother-in-law Leon Joseph Trahan, Jr. She was the loving and devoted mother of Jill and Harold Sonnier (Flower Mound, TX), Kevin and Sylvia Boudreaux (Jacksonville, FL), Brian and Lisa Boudreaux (Sulphur, LA), Mark and Danna Boudreaux (Hartselle, AL), Brett and Jamie Boudreaux (Lake Charles, LA) and Melissa and Steve Bell (Mesquite, TX). She is also survived by a brother and three sisters, Anne B. Trahan (Bayou Black, LA), J. D. and Sandra Boudreaux, III (Donner, LA), and Georgiana Boudreaux (Thibodaux, LA), and Amanda and Earl Hebert (Thibodaux, LA), fifteen grand children, and six great grand children. Mrs. Boudreaux attended Terrebonne High School and graduated from Thibodaux High School. While creating a loving home for her family, she found time for many other activities such as an Ambassador and Volunteer for the Smoky Mountains Parks & Recreations Department (1990-2004), the Petroleum Club Wives of Corpus Christi, TX serving as treasurer, the Thibodaux High School Band Boosters Club (1969-1979), and as a motivational speaker for Weight Watchers International, Inc. in the 1960s. She was a member of prayer and Bible study groups in Thibodaux over the years. Mrs. Boudreaux was an avid traveler and experienced many cherished years camping across the United States and Canada with her husband in their fifth-wheeler. She is loved and dearly missed by her devoted family and dear friends.
