Bettie Joy Hassler, age 72, of McKinney, Texas passed away September 11, 2011. She was born May 11, 1939 in Howe, Texas to Wesley Jones and Lila Mae (Powers) Jones. On April 9, 1975 she married Fred Hassler in Pasadena, Texas. Bettie enjoyed shopping and traveling. She especially loved her grandchildren. Bettie was a member of North Cities United Pentecostal Church in Garland. She is survived by her husband, Fred Hassler of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Belinda Myles of McKinney, Texas; granddaughter, Kelli Myles of McKinney, Texas; grandson, Kasyn Myles of McKinney, Texas; granddaughter, Krista Myles of Houston, Texas; grandson, Kayne Myles of Houston, Texas; great-grandchildren, Kaydence Smith, Sean Taylor Smith, Kierity Smith all of Houston, Texas; brother, Alvin Lee Jones and wife, Vernell of Pasadena, Texas, and many other loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Lila Mae Jones; sister, Juanita Miller; brothers, Clinton, Harold and Carrol Jones. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Pastor Herbert Murrell officiating.
