Mrs. Bessie Paulette Prater, age 63, of Leonard, Texas, passed away July 25, 2007, in Greenville, Texas. She was born on June 25, 1944, in Bentley, Oklahoma, to James David and Rose Nell (Gallup) Cross. She married Tommy L. Prater on April 1, 1964, in Altoka, Oklahoma. She worked at a water treatment plant and was of the Pentecostal Faith. She is survived by her husband, Tommy L. Prater; daughter, Tamara Morgan of Leonard; son, Tommie L. Prater, Jr. of Leonard; sister, Suzette Qauinton of Colgate, Oklahoma; brothers, James Cross of Farris, Oklahoma and Robert Cross of Antlers, Oklahoma; sister, Audiee Nanney of Farris, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Quita Henry. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Leonard has charge of the arrangements.
