Mr. Bertram R. Olsen, age 91, of Azle, Texas, passed away November 19, 2005, in Azle, Texas. He was born July 27, 1914, in Austin, Texas, to Fred C. and Helen Anna (Jung) Olsen. On May 24, 1937, he married Marie Culver in Azle. In 1969, he retired from the post office after 33 years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with his four boys. Bert spent the last five years residing at Azle Manor where he made many cherished friends. His sons would always hear from the caregivers at Azle Manor how much they loved taking care of their dad. Bert was a lifelong resident of Azle and a member of the Azle Methodist Church. We will miss him every day. He is survived by Bertram Chester Olsen of Azle, William (Bill) Walter Olsen of Hussar, Canada, John Charles Olsen of Billings, Montana, and James Culver Olsen of Azle;10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at First United Methodist Church in Azle with Rev. Dean Posey officiating. Interment will follow at Ash Creek Cemetery in Azle. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, at White’s Funeral Home in Azle. Memorials may be made to the Azle United Methodist Church Building Fund.
