Benjamin Earl Jackson, age 79, of Plano, Texas passed away August 3, 2007, in Plano. He was born October 22, 1927, in Coryell County, Texas to Owen and Nettie (Morriss) Jackson. On February 2, 1946, he married Vena Jackson in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mr. Jackson proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps. He was an oil field maintenance manager and a member of the Baptist faith. Upon retirement, he fell in love with woodworking (a real artisan), and was always a cowboy at heart. He is survived by his wife, Vena Jackson; daughters, Kaye White and her husband, Marvin of Lubbock, Texas and Pat Lamping and her husband, Mike of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Jon White, Tim White, Michelle McElroy and Mallorie Lamping; great-grandchildren, Kyndra White, Meagan McElroy, Alana White, Jaret McElroy and Krysta White; brothers, Owen Jackson and wife SueAnn of Grapevine, Texas and Ralph Jackson and his wife, Janie of Mission, Texas; sister, Sue Bandy of Athens, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving relatives. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Morriss Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2007, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Kim Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m., Monday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
