Benjamin Allen Cable

Benjamin Allen Cable, age 88 of Frisco, Texas passed away on October 21, 2013 in Frisco. Allen was born on January 25, 1925 in Dayton, Ohio to Chester Cyrus and Caroline Barbara (Kinsey) Cable. He married Peggy Savage on June 15, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland. Allen served his country in the United States Navy during WWII as an Electrician First Mate on the USS Rudderow (DE-224) and was awarded the following medals:

American Campaign Medal

Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal (with two bronze service stars)

World Warr II Victory Medal

Philippine Liberation Medal (with one bronze service star)

After his service in the Navy, Allen was an Electrician with General Motors with 40 years of service. He retired in 1986.

Allen is survived by his wife, Peggy Cable of Frisco, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen A. Cable and wife, Helga M. of Sorrento, Florida, Terry L. Cable and wife, Alma L. of Frisco, Texas; grandsons, Chad C. Cable and wife, Lynn; and Brian M. Cable and wife, Cristal R.; great-grandchildren, Zachary A. Cable, Cole J. Cable, Milana M. Cable, Matthew A. Cable and Siena G. Cable.
