Funeral services for Ben Harold Treadway, 78 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday October 27th at the First Baptist Church of Leonard. Brother Chris Cowen and Brother Mike Hermanson will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday October 26th at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Mr. Treadway was born December 23, 1932 at Savage, Texas. His parents were William Isaac and Lillard Josephine Starnes Treadway. He was a High School Graduate and a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard. He served his country as a member of the United States Army and he worked at the General Cable Company in Bonham and in the upholstery business. He married Maggie Bernice Owens on November 29, 1952 at Wolfe City. They were married 58 years. He passed away at his home after a lengthy illness Tuesday October 25th. He is survived by his wife: Maggie Bernice Treadway of Leonard; Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Don Harold & Debbie Treadway of Edgewood and Randy Gene and Leslie Treadway of Leonard; his daughter and son-in-law: Cathy Sue & Steve Latimer of Leonard; his grandchildren: Don David Treadway, Randall Todd Treadway, Jeremy Lynn Treadway and Porter Duane Treadway, all of Edgewood, Jamie Latimer Ogea, Micah Wade Latimer, Regan Gene Treadway and Haylea Michelle Treadway, all of Leonard; his 12 great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law: Jerline Treadway Ownby; many nieces, Nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Isaac and Lillard Josephine Starnes Treadway, and his brothers, Bobby Gene and Bill Treadway. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of Leonard is in charge of arrangements.
