Mrs. Barbara Ann Short-Wilson, age 61, of McKinney, Texas passed away on December 17, 2003, in McKinney. She was born on March 19, 1942, in Blue Ridge, Texas to John Henry and Mildred Myrtle (Gerron) Short. She married Verbert Wilson in Blue Ridge, Texas. Mrs. Wilson retired from Fisher Controls in 1995 and was a member of the Church of God in Melissa, Texas. She is survived by her son, Bert Wilson and wife, Cara of Blue Ridge, Texas and John Wilson of McKinney, Texas; daughters, JoAnn Herrera and husband, Julian of Princeton, Texas, Joyce Pettway and Jason Castle of McKinney, Texas, Doris McCullough of Telephone, Texas, Rhonda Pittman and Harold McGuffin of Valdasta, Texas and Teresa Antwiler and husband, John of Celina, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verbert Wilson in 1991 and her parents, John Henry (Shorty) and Mildred Short. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2003, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Kelly Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow at Melissa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Saturday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
