Funeral Services for Barbara “Sue” Sumrow Watson, 72 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday January 12, 2015 at the Leonard Church of Christ. Bob Lewis and Charles Wrenn will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 P.M. Sunday January 11, 2015 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.
Sue was born September 1, 1942 at Celeste, Texas. Her parents were Ellis H. and Mozelle Harris Sumrow. She was a graduate of East Texas State University and a member of the Leonard Church of Christ. She married Roby Charles Watson January 31, 1963 at Celeste. She worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for Watson Brothers, Inc. She enjoyed traveling to various places in the world, gathering at the Leonard Pharmacy daily to visit with friends and attending all the performances of her granddaughters. She passed away Friday January 9, 2015 at the U.T. Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
She is survived by her husband: Roby C. Watson of Leonard; her son and daughter-in-law: James and Sheri Watson of Leonard; her granddaughters: Paige Watson, Payton Watson and Preslie Watson all of Leonard; her sister and brother-in-law: Martha and John Mabry of Frisco; her brother and sister-in-law: Ken and Pam Sumrow of Plano; her nieces and nephews: Brooke and Clay Keene and their son, Connor, of Frisco; Christy and Marc Byerly and their son, Weston, of Plano; Clint and Kathryn Sumrow of Plano and Lauren Sumrow of Plano.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Charles Watson.
