Barbara Dell Roberts, age 70, of Celina, Texas, passed away December 31, 2012, in McKinney, Texas. Barbara was born June 15, 1942, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Jimmie Ratliff and Alva Beatrice (Fortner) Moses. She married Thomas Lee Roberts on December 28, 1956, in Durant, Oklahoma. Barbara was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and enjoyed activities that involved her family. She also worked as an invoice clerk for Wal-Mart and retired after 35 years of service. Barbara and Tommy enjoyed going to their cabin in Oklahoma. She loved garage sales, craft shows, and collecting antiques. Barbara was also a member of the First Christian Church in Weston Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Roberts of Celina, Texas; daughters, Dana Hatcher of Lawton, Oklahoma, Theresa Taylor and husband, T. D. of Celina, Texas, and Crissy McGraw and husband, Jason of Melissa, Texas; granddaughters, Kyle Rogers and husband, Matt of Lawton, Oklahoma and Jaxon McGraw; grandsons, Justin Hatcher and wife, Kristy of San Antonio, Texas, Travis Dean Taylor of Celina, Texas, and Caden McGraw; great-grandchildren, Bailey Hatcher, Kari Hatcher, and Wyatt Rogers; and sister, Wanda Parker of McKinney, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Alva Moses, sister, Ruby Moses, and grandson, Austin Hatcher.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Bro. Jerry Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
