A Memorial Service for Barbara Jean Alexander Hanson, 59 year old Leonard resident, is scheduled for Saturday March 14, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Leonard Church of Christ. Barbara passed away at her home Sunday March 8, 2015.
She is survived by her husband: Jeffery Clarke Hanson of Leonard; her very dear and special friend: David Barrett of Leonard; her step-father: Gary Smith; her step-mother: Bobbie Alexander; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Stephen & Patty Alexander and Jeffery & Tashauna Alexander, all of Leonard; her sister: Cathy Alexander of Georgia; her son and daughter: Nakomah Hanson of Weatherford and Jo Beth Berry of Garland; her four grandchildren: Christian, Taylor, Natalie and Cadence; her fourteen nieces and nephews: Charles Alexander, Joshua Alexander, Kristin Alexander, Stephanie Alexander, Scott Alexander, Ashleigh Alexander, Elizabeth Alexander, Brittany Smith, Jazmine Dossey, Donavan Wall, Emiley Wall, Bridget Holder and Brandy Floyd; aunts: Linda Feagan of Honey Grove and Anita Henson of Trenton; cousins: Jodie Newby of Garland and Doretha Himelright of Troup. She is also survived by a number of great nieces and nephews, as well as other aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ruby & Harold Newby and Charles Alexander, Sr. and Grace Alexander; her mother and father: Dorothy Newby Smith and Charles Alexander, Jr.; her brother: Ronald Alexander and her uncle: Tommy Newby.
