Arline Betty Grindle, age 87, of McKinney, Texas, passed away July 10, 2011, in McKinney. Arline was born February 28, 1924, in Salina, Kansas, to Bertram I. and Mina (Nelson) Chambers. She married Harold R. Grindle on March 6, 1962, in Dallas, Texas. She was a graduate of Parkland Nursing School in Dallas, Texas and George Peabody College in Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in public health nursing. Arline was the public health supervisor for the City of Dallas for twenty-six years. She was a very active member of First United Methodist Church in McKinney. Arline was a member of the Jean D’Arc Club and the Rainbow Review Book Club. She is survived by her husband, Harold R. Grindle of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Patty McWilliams and her husband, Stan of McKinney, Texas; step-daughter, Wayna Jean Rash of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Tim McWilliams and wife, Erika, Elizabeth Brown and husband, Paul, Jennifer McCullough and husband, Kevin, Jimmy Rash and wife, Lisa, Jason Rash and wife, Karen, Kim Carr and husband, Leonard, and John Rash and wife, Sherri; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Jim Rash, and brothers, Al, Curt, and Bert Chambers. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at First United Methodist Church in McKinney, Texas. Entombment will follow at Ridgeview Mausoleum in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
