Mrs. Aretes “Rita” Fraser, age 69, of Leonard, Texas passed away January 11, 2008 in Bonham, Texas. She was born the daughter of Clyde Emuil and Lilly Darby Robinson. She married Robert Ray Fraser in Dallas, Texas. Rita worked for many years as a nurses aid at the Leonard Manor and was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church of Leonard. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Edward “Eddie” and Ashlea Fraser of Bonham and Steve Fraser of Sacramento, CA; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy Donnell and Larry Songer of Leonard and Susan and Cory Cate of Livermore, CA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Archie & Joan Robinson and James and Jackie Robinson, all of Canton, TX; grandchildren, Amanda and Justin Horton, Morgan Songer, Tara Carlisle Fraser and Emily Fraser; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Fraser was preeded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; sister, Linda Boyd; brother-in-law, David Boyd; and grandson, Matthew Songer. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church of Leonard with Rev. Willie Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral home in Leonard on Wednesday, January 16, 2008, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
