Annie Lois Hooker, age 54 of Plano, Texas passed away on March 16, 2009 in Frisco, Texas. She was born on April 17, 1954 in Mount Olive, Mississippi to Melvin Louis and Etta Mae (Durr) Newsome. She is survived by her children, LaDonna Hooker and partner, Jerry Johnson of McKinney, Texas, Lee Hooker, Jr., of Dallas, Texas, Alisha Hooker of Little Elm, Texas, Candice and Alex Tan of Little Elm, Texas; grandchildren, Cierra Johnson, Jadyn Johnson, Kennedy Johnson, Imani Hooker, Samantha Tan; mother, Etta Mae Newsome of Magee, Mississippi; children’s father, Lee Hooker, Sr.; sisters, DeLois Magee, Doris Newsome, Loretta Hamilton, Kinyetta Newsome, Uricka Newsome; brothers, Thomas Newsome, Walter Newsome, Michael Newsome, Howard Newsome, Edward Newsome, Melvin Newsome and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends during a visitation to be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 beginning at 6:30PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 920 14th Street, Plano TX in the new Sanctuary, with Pastor James Hutchins officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco, Texas.
