Mrs. Annie Ruth Heifner, age 88, of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 16, 2005, in McKinney. She was born November 16, 1917, in Denton, Texas, to Sam and Flossie Beatrice (Arthur) Lacy. She married Jimmy L. Heifner on October 24, 1987, in Lucas, Texas. Mrs. Heifner retired from the Texas Department of Human Resources where she had been a librarian for over 30 years. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in McKinney. She is survived by her brothers, Bill Lacy and Malcolm Lacy, both of Sherman, Texas; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Clark and Arthur Lacy; and two sisters, Clara Kearney and Helen Dodge. The family wishes to express their sincerest appreciation and love to the staff and caregivers at Provident Living Center and American Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 19, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Paul Gould and Rev. Jerry Putnam officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:30 P.M., Sunday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
