Mrs. Anna Troia, age 95, of Allen, Texas passed away August 22, 2006, in Plano, Texas. She was born May 28, 1911, in Abruzzi, Italy to Michael and Agata (Buccini) Leombruni. On January 23, 1929, she married Carmine Attilio Troia in Italy. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. She is survived by her children, Pasquale Troia and wife, Susan of Florida, Giuseppina Santilli and husband, Matteo of Australia, Bice Del Signore of New York, Carlo Troia and Phyllis of Dallas, Texas, Vittoria Polce and husband, Delio of Allen, Mario Troia and wife, Nancy of Pennsylvania, and Giulio Troia and wife, Dawn of Allen; 28 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Oreste Leombruni and sisters, Maria, Lucia and Leondina Leombruni all of Italy. Her husband and sister, Viola Leombruni preceded her in death. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 24, 2006, at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Timothy Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Bagnaturo in Italy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in memory of Anna Troia to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
