Anita Rebecca Littrell Gray

Anita Rebecca Littrell Gray was born June 17, 1944 at Cottage Hill, TX, and passed away October 12, 2008 in Denison, TX. She grew up in a loving family, living in the Chambersville area where she attended school through the eighth grade. Her high school years were spent in McKinney High School where she graduated in 1962. Anita was a member of The National Honor Society. She married Jimmy Lynn Gray on January 10, 1963. They resided in McKinney where she worked for Collins Radio and later the Department of Human Services. Anita attended Grayson County College where she received an Associates Degree in Nursing. After graduation, she worked at various medical facilities in the McKinney/Dallas area. As a child and young adult, Anita was a member of Chambersville United Methodist Church where she was youth director in the late eighties. She was also involved in teaching Sunday School classes and Vacation Bible School. They later moved their membership to Wesley United Methodist Church in McKinney, TX, where Anita was involved in the tape ministry delivering tapes of the Sunday sermon to shut-ins. Anita was known by her family and friends as a loving person, a wonderful wife and devoted mother. She suffered a long, extended illness that finally took her to be with the Lord. Anita will be missed, but her example of unconditional love will always live in our hearts and memories. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy of Trenton, TX, a daughter, Tammy Bledsoe and her husband, Jamie of Trenton, a son, Trent of Trenton, and four grandchildren, Jennie and husband Danny Kiser, Ryan, Ross & Reece Bledsoe, and three great-grandchildren, three brothers, Royce Littrell of Cache, OK, and his wife Suzie, Allen Littrell of Chambersville, TX, and his wife Doris, Gary Littrell of Chambersville TX, and his wife Ann, a sister-in-law, Charlsie Corrion of McKinney, and many nieces, nephews and loved ones. She was preceded in death by a son, Brent Gray, her parents, George and Leta Mae Littrell, and a brother, Bobby Littrell. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 16, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Rev. Royce Littrell and Rev. Ed Lantz officiating. Interment will follow at Chambersville Cemetery in Chambersville, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening.
