Mrs. Anita L. Gilliam, age 70, of Richardson, Texas passed November 22, 2010. She was born October 8, 1940, near Temple, Oklahoma farming area, to J.J. “Jake” and Mildred (Smith) Gore. She graduated from Temple High School in 1959. On June 5, 1964, she married Thomas “Tommy” Wayne Gilliam in Walters, Oklahoma. Mrs. Gilliam worked at several automotive dealerships doing office and clerical work. She retired from the workforce 10 years ago. Anita was a fanatic Oklahoma Sooner football fan and enjoyed taking care of her beloved cats. She is survived by her husband, Tommy of Richardson; sons, Tommy Gilliam Jr. and wife, Debbie of McKinney, Texas and Brian Gilliam of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Brianna Gilliam, Trey Gilliam, Skyla Gilliam and Holly Gilliam; and a host of other loving relatives and many friends. Her parents and sister, Jean Roather preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 24, 2010, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Bro. Harper Newman officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
