Andres Morales Valdez, age 77, of McKinney, Texas, passed away May 7, 2010, in McKinney. Andres was born April 15, 1933, in Apaseo Alto Guanajuato, Mexico, to Macario and Francisca (Morales) Valdez. He married Maria Soledad Martinez in Mexico. She preceded him in death in 1996. Andres moved to McKinney from Mexico in 1969. He was a laborer for the City of Plano for twenty-seven years. Andres enjoyed raising animals. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in McKinney. He is survived by his sons, Andres Valdez, Jr. of Melissa, Texas, Juan Valdez of Farmersville, Texas, Eulogio Valdez, Roberto Valdez, and Carlos Valdez, all of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Francisca Rivera of Melissa, Texas, Leticia Diaz of Fairview, Texas, Maria Valdez Tinajero of McKinney, Texas, Vicenta Gonzales also of Melissa, Texas, Soledad Noyola, of McKinney, Texas, Magnalena Valdez also of McKinney, Texas, Ofelia Valdez of Donna, Texas; thirty-eight grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; sisters, Consuelo Valdez of Mexico, Maria Luisa Sanchez of McKinney, Texas, and Maria Valdez, also of Mexico; and brother, Nicanor Valdez of Mexico. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one daughter, and two brothers. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 10, 2010, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 9, 2010 with a rosary service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
