An Luong Miner

An Luong Miner of Frisco, Texas died on May 25th, 2014 at the age of 79 due to complications related to lung cancer. An was born to Luong Van K? and Tr?n Th? Ngò on June 14, 1934, in Cambodia. When An was 3 years old, her parents emigrated to Long Xuyên, Vi?t Nam where she spent her childhood. In 1951 An married Ph?m Nh?t Thiên, a soldier. They had eight children (Suzie Pham, John Miner, Lavana Miner, Tom Miner, Lily Miner, David Miner, Helen Burton, and Jane Pham). An and Thiên divorced in 1965.   An later married William C. Miner in 1966. (who preceded her in death a year and a half ago). They adopted 2 more children (Lan Burden and Pearl Miner to make a family of 12.) An and Bill were married for 47 years until Bill’s death in January 2013

In Vietnam, An worked as secretary, a nurse, and Human Resources Director for P&E company when she met Bill who worked as a Chief Architecture Engineer. An and Bill worked together, eventually married and started a company together call A & M Interprise. In 1974, after 8 months of investigating the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, An and Bill and 6 of their children joined the Church.

An was actively involved in the LDS branch in Vietnam until towards the end of the war in 1975. An and Bill were evacuated to the United States with their children. After living for two years in Utah, An and Bill moved to Long Beach, Mississippi where they settled and resumed their business activities until their retirement. They moved to Frisco, Texas in 2009.

An is survived by all 10 children, her sisters Luong Th? An, Luong Th? Nguy?t, and Luong Th? H?ng Hoa. She has 3 sibblings that have preceded her death. (Luong Th? Sang, Luong Van Nhàn, Luong Ng?c Hoàng).

An was loved and will be missed by all who survived her including her 20 grandchildren and 11 great Grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 AM (following a viewing from 8:30 to 9:30) on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5095 Coit Road, Frisco, Texas.  

Internment will be at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas, with services beginning at 12:30 PM.
