Amanda Gayle Holcomb, age 27, of Caddo Mills, Texas passed away on the evening of January 9, 2016. She was a blessing born in Dallas, Texas on August 4, 1988 to her parents, David R. and Karla (Heckathorn) Holcomb.
Amanda grew up in Mesquite, Texas and moved to Caddo Mills, Texas as a preteen. From early childhood, Amanda was a member of the Mesquite Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Mesquite, Texas. She was always an outspoken active "on the go" person. She loved animals, sports, being outdoors, racing but most of all her family. Her chosen profession always involved vehicles.
She was a cherished daughter, sister, and mother. Amanda is survived by her daughters, Sophia Veal of Princeton, Texas and Aria Holcomb of Caddo Mills, Texas; father, David Holcomb and wife Sheila of Caddo Mills, Texas; mother, Karla Holcomb of Princeton, Texas; sister, Stephanie McAdams and husband Johnny of Farmersville, Texas; brothers, Chris Holcomb and wife Christina of Plano, Texas and Ryan Holcomb of Caddo Mills, Texas; sister, Chelsea Smith and husband Cody of Caddo Mills, Texas; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral home in Allen, Texas with Dr. Danny Buster officiating. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
