Alphonse W. Bydlon

Alphonse W. Bydlon, age 96, of Allen, Texas, formerly of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, passed away January 30, 2012, in Allen, Texas. He was born December 28, 1915, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Peter and Mary Bydlon. On September 25, 1941, Alphonse married Stella Richert, in Minneapolis. He grew up and lived in Minneapolis. In 1974 he moved to Coon Rapids, Minnesota; in 2007 he moved to Allen to be closer to his family. Alphonse was a truck driver for Gambles. He loved bowling, dancing, golfing, and being around his family. Alphonse proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his son, Richard Bydlon and wife Nancy of Allen; grandchildren, Laura Pope and husband Charles of Bloomington, Indiana and Sarah Bydlon of Bagley, Minnesota; great-grandchildren, Sophie Pope, Richard Pope, and Anna Pope; brother, William Bydlon of Minneapolis; sister, Helen Sames of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; numerous other nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.

Alphonse was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Mary Bydlon; wife, Stella Bydlon; an infant son and son, Frank Bydlon; brothers, Ed Bydlon, Hank Bydlon, Wally Bydlon and Frank Bydlon; and sister, Julie Kingsrud.

A memorial mass will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2012, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 525 Jackson Street, Anoca, Minnisota 55303. A luncheon will follow the service. Inurnment will follow the luncheon, at Sunset Memorial Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
