Alma Gene Simms Henderson, age 77, of Royce City, Texas, passed away July 26, 2004, at her home. She was born October 18, 1926, in Frisco, Texas, to John Franklin and Hettie Mae (Vinson) Sims. On August 12, 1944 she married Jimmie Lee Henderson in Rockwall, Texas, and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Peggy Magers of Rockwall, Texas, Jimmy Henderson of Brownwood, Texas, Deborah Rogers of Wylie, Texas, Helen Gilliland of Rowlett, Texas, Phillip Henderson of Royce City, Texas, and Bobbie Nichols of Royce City, Texas; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brothers, and husband.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Frisco, Texas, with Pastor Michael Hankins officiating. Interment was at Bethel Cemetery in Frisco, Texas. A visitation was held Tuesday, July 27, 2004 from 6:30-8:30 PM in the Chapel.
