Allie Morey age 85, of Clyde, Texas passed away on February 27, 2009. She was born on July 3, 1923 in Brazos County, Texas to George Lee and Gracie Gertrude (Wright) Currie. In 1971 she married Donnie F. Morey in Abilene, Texas. Mrs. Morey was a former member of Dunn Memorial Baptist Church in New Hope, Texas, before moving to Clyde, Texas and joining First Baptist Church of Clyde, Texas. She retired from DLM in Allen, Texas and was an accomplished painter and gardener and greatly loved by both communities. She is survived by her sons, John C. Rhodes and wife Laurie of Brookings, Oregon, Nick Rhodes and wife Betty of Wylie, Texas, Danny Rhodes and wife Linda of Haltom City, Texas, Chris Morey and wife Renee of San Angelo, Texas and John Terrell Morey and wife Becky of Uvalde, Texas; daughters, Pam Reed and husband Tony of Clyde, Texas and Donna McGuire of Alexandria, Louisiana; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie F. Morey. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2009 in the Chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, with Pastor Dan Preston and Pastor Brad Sloan officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home
