Allen Perryman Shingshang, age 86, of Princeton, Texas, passed away February 20, 2009, in McKinney, Texas. Allen was born October 15, 1922 in Dallas, Texas, to Charles Henry and Ethel Pauline (Tresenriter) Shingshang. He married Wilma Ann McMillan on February 15, 1953 in Port Arthur, Texas. Allen proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1982 as the owner and operator of Cannonball Manufacturing Company. Allen was a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas for over fifty years. He is survived by his wife, Wilma of Princeton, Texas; son, Charles Wilbur and his wife, Gwendolyn of Mesquite, Texas; daughter, Edith Pauline Alexander and her husband, Bruce also of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Clinton Wayne Alexander, Kimberly Dawn Alexander, Ceciley Ann Shingshang, and Sabrina Marie Shingshang; sister-in-law, Judy McMillan. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant grandson, Jimmy Allen Alexander. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Sunday, February 22, 2009, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 P. M. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
