Allen Freeman, age 85, of McKinney, Texas passed away September 1, 2010. He was born December 7, 1924 in Lubbock, Texas and was a long time resident of Silsbee, Texas. On April 22, 1949 he married Hilda Neal in Silsbee. Allen graduated from Stephen F. Austin University. He proudly served in the United States Navy where he was a veteran of WWII. Allen was an accountant for Sun Oil Company where he retired after 36 years of service. He was a member of Silsbee Masonic Lodge. Allen was a member of First Baptist Church McKinney and also a member Hurricane Creek Country Club. He is survived by his daughters, Gay Travis and husband, Bill of Denton, Texas; Carlin Udovich and husband, Norm of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Sam Udovich, Katie Adcock and B.J. Travis; five great-grandchildren and niece, Phyllis Wheeler of Beaumont, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Freeman and twin sister, Alice Street. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Ridgeview Memorial Park with Rev. Randy Morlan officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
