Alfredo Coy, age 66, of McKinney, Texas, passed away September 25, 2009, in McKinney. Alfredo was born February 13, 1943, in Riviera, Texas, to Ernesto and Aurora (Garcia) Coy. Alfredo was a United States Army Veteran. He served 20 years in the United States Army including three tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He is also a recipient of the Purple Heart for injuries sustained while flying a medical evacuation mission. After his retirement from the Army, Alfredo became a program manager with the Environmental Protection Agency in addition to being a legal mediator and translator. He is survived by his children, Lynne Coy-Kaminski of Houston, Texas, Mary Anne Coy McElroy of Dunn, North Carolina, Samuel Coy of Fate, Texas, Daniel Coy of Frisco, Texas, Alfred Coy of McKinney, Texas, and Jennifer Coy of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren; siblings, Ernesto Coy of Abilene, Texas, Aurora Coy Gossett of Arkansas, Arturo Coy, Delia Coy, Olga Coy, Guillermo Coy, Pedro Coy, and Ernestina Coy, all of Houston, Texas, and Margaret Boxer and Belinda Garza, both of Corpus Christi, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2009 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Allen, Texas with Dr. Danny Buster officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Riviera City Cemetery, Riviera, Texas.
